Start Your Rewarding Career as a CNA
This program is an exam preparation course to enable those individuals wanting to challenge the Florida CNA state exam to pass. In the state of Florida, individuals must be at least 18-years-old, or have a high school diploma or equal to “challenge" the exam without completion of an approved training program.
The Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Exam consists of two separate tests: The Clinical Skills Test and the Written (Knowledge) Test. You are not required to pass one test before taking the other. However, first-time testers must register for both tests.
The written test consists of 60 multiple choice questions to test your nursing assistant knowledge and skills. You will have 90 minutes to take the test.
You will engage in hands-on training to prepare you for the clinicals skills portion of the state exam. There are 22 clinical skills in total, in which we practice all of them. When you are registered to test, a computer will decide which 5 skills will be on your test.
Depending on the type of skill, a person or mannequin is used for the resident when performing clinical skills. Therefore, be prepared to play the role of the resident for some skills.
Be ready to take part in a fast paced learning environment, since you will be timed on the actual test. The time allowed for the Clinical Skills test ranges from 31 minutes to 40 minutes based on the skills you are asked to perform.
To pass the Clinical Skills test, you must pass all five skills. To pass a skill, you are not required to perform the skill perfectly, but you are required to demonstrate competency of the skill.
As a result of the growing senior population here in Florida and the rest of the country, there is a high demand for certified nursing assistants.
